Graphic Design
Mar 2018 - Apr 2018
Tools: inDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
This project was to create your own typeface inspired by an everyday object. The object I chose was a metal ruler and I decided to do a stencil typeface.I decided to do a stencil because a ruler is very straight and clean, but when spray painting a stencil, the ink always bleeds out and create an interesting effect. The font is very geometric and symmetrical when looked at on a paper, but when you use it for graffiti, it gets messy.

The design was created in Illustrator, then worked and transformed on Glyphs. I then created a display book for my typeface that was put together on InDesign. I tested my typeface by vinyl cutting it on cardboard and experimenting with it.
